The Australian Christian Lobby dismissed as absurd that the majority of Christians would approve of same-sex marriage as indicated by a Galaxy poll today and trumpeted by the Greens.
“Certainly my work with Evangelical, Catholic and Orthodox churches leaves me in no doubt that the great majority of their adherents don’t support same-sex marriage,” said Mr Wallace, the Lobby’s Managing Director.
“I think a simple additional question on the poll that determined if the person actually attended a church might have made the result more informative,” he said.

I am so fed up with the lies that are put out by the Gay Lobby! I see that Jim Wallace has done the correct thing,I am a Man that has parted the Gay lifestyle and find that the agender of the Gay lobby is based on Bitterness and payback to Heterosexuals and Their actions will not stop with Gay and Lesbian Marriage equality! They will want more! I would even ad to say I feel that a lot of Ministers of the gospel of truth will at sometime be made to marry them in spite! Of the anger in their Hearts toward people who will not give them what they Demand! I would gladly speak out of what a Terrible life it is to live as a Gay person,by my experience! sure they want love,we give them that but, at times as a parent does, with their children they dont always give what they want as they can see the damage things can do to their Children.
Male and female are complementary as a purposed union.
Bill.
The Greens would twist any statistical data to support their position on same-sex marriage…
I agree 100% with The Australian Christian Lobby, that it is an absurd thought to even think that the majority of Christians would approve of same-sex marriage as indicated by a Galaxy poll today and trumpeted by the Greens.
All the Christian churches that I know abhors same-sex marriage, let alone condone it!
When will “gay” people learn that christians love them, it is their behav iour we don’t agree with.
No matter how strident the advocates of homosexual “marriage” become, their efforts will NEVER change the reality of traditional marriage – that is, between one man and one woman: MAN+WIFE4LIFE. Even if the homosexual and lesbian activists get what they want (pray that they do not), their “union” cannot be and never will be true marriage.
The majority of Christians support Gay Marriage? Statistics don’t lie and Galaxy is the most respected polling organisation in Australia. My contention is that anyone can call themselves a Christian. However no true Christian supports gay marriage and Jim Wallace speaks for all true Christians.
I’m surprised the Greens are actually referring to a poll.
They are normally hell-bent on pushing their own agendas regardless of whether or not anyone else agrees.
The homosexual lobby wants visibility and respect with marriage together with all the other things such as IVF, fostering, surrogate. The first thing a baby should see when it opens it eyes is its biological mother and father NOT gay “mother” together with his/hers same sex lover. Yuck!!!!
Unfortunately there are many ‘Christians’ out there who have compromised their own Biblical beliefs and by doing so and making justification of it, they damage other Christians in the process.
This latest website has a list of some such people. Not content to keep their unbiblical opinions to themselves- they will happily now stand against Bible believing Christians.

On a more personal note, a friend of mine has had her own biblical view of homosexuality influenced by Mr Philip Yancey. He has a view about the matter quite contrary to the Bible view.

Regardless of his great knowledge on the Bible and other topics, denouncing the Bible on such a clear issue and then teaching that view to others is clearly not good for the cause of Christianity.
Coincidentally, this man is doing a tour around Australia in September sponsored by Koorong- how many Christians will potentially be damaged by his ‘lukewarmness’ if this topic comes up?
In any case- this issue is certainly sifting out the ‘wheat from the chaff’.
For a person to not hold to the Bible teaching on this , they need to justify their position (usually by twisting scriptures)and then try to find other supporters and then promote their twisted view to other Christians and weaken their faith and convictions also.
Who is doing more damage, the homosexual advocates or the ‘lukewarm Christians’?
When a nation goes against God’s will acording to the Bible the nation suffers as shown in the book of Judges. The Bible states that marriage should be between a man and a woman and children are more stable when raised by a mother and father.
