This week the PM Julia Gillard announced in an opinion piece in The Age that she would allow Labor MPs a conscience vote on Marriage if a Bill was introduced in Parliament.
The ACL’s responded with a media release which was reported in The Australian, Ninemsn, The West Australian, International News. Mr Wallace was also interview by 2GB’s Ben Fordham about the conscience vote here.
On the issue of the Civil Partnerships Bill in Queensland, the ACL was mentioned in a Brisbane Times story “Faith Groups silent on gay civil unions”

The ACL was mentioned in Angela Shanahan’s opinion piece in The Australian in the context of the abortion issue, “US surge to enshrine rights of unborn could revive local movement”. The ACL was also mentioned as one group who made a submission to the ACT’s Prostitution Inquiry in The Canberra Times
If the Lord had wished us to have same sex marriages he would have made both male and femaie able to have children, therefore it is obvious that we are meant only to marry the opposite sex. Our country, particularly at this time, has committed more than enough sins against the Word of God, I feel that for us to remain the “Great South Land of the Holy Spirit” and to remain the blessed country we have been we need to start following the Gospel more and more, not less and less. I say a definite NO to same sex marriages.
