Wendy Francis is the Queensland Director of the Australian Christian Lobby. In this interview with the ACL's Katherine Spackman she talks about the government's announcement that it will introduce legislation to fine advertisers that breach its own code of conduct. The government's announcement is in response to an inquiry looking at sexually explicit outdoor advertising which had recommended a co-regulatory approach to outdoor advertising. For further information see Media Release
on the issue. Ms Francis also comments on the surrogacy story in the news lately about a boy who was born to a Thai surrogate but unwanted by his biological parents because he had down syndrome and a hole in his heart.
