A wake up call for Australia:
BISHOP MICHAEL NAZIR-ALI, born in Pakistan, knows what it is like to live under sharia law. His Muslim father became a Christian, but today would face death for “apostasy”. Michael professed faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager. He later became a minister, then a bishop working among the very poor – but assaults and death threats eventually forced him to flee with his family to the UK, where his deep faith and special abilities were soon recognised. For several years he played a key role in the House of Lords. He has stepped down as head of the Rochester Diocese in Kent in order to minister to the wider church – including persecuted minorities in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali often faces hostile media interviews, but has won great respect for his fearless defence of Christian truths. Unlike many other church leaders, he is not afraid to “tell it like it is” on issues of the day – including the rise of radical Islam.Start Time:
