You’ve got to hand it to the Greens. They sure are committed.



Despite the Federal, South Australian, Tasmanian, Western Australian and Victorian Parliaments all rejecting euthanasia as too dangerous, Federal MP for Melbourne Adam Bandt wants yet another crack at it.



Like same-sex marriage, superficial polling shows support for euthanasia. But when it is put under scrutiny and the consequences examined, as has occurred in Parliamentary inquiries over the past three years in each of these jurisdictions, politicians run a mile from the idea.



Bandt will quiz Prime Minister Julia Gillard in Question Time next week in a bid to get euthanasia back on the agenda.
