The importance of your school P&C

It can be difficult to keep up with the multiple ways schools are teaching our children how good it is to identify as ‘queer.’

There are whole-school programs like The Good Society, Respectful Relationships, Safe Schools, and the newly mandated Consent education. Wear it Purple Day and other campaigns are increasingly represented in schools.


Now, Minus18 LGBTQIA+ Resource Kits are being sent to schools across Australia – sponsored by Woolworths and Chemist Warehouse.


For some, these type of short-term campaigns alter their shopping habits. For parents of children however, one of the most effective ways to affect your child’s learning and what resources are used in your school is to join your school’s P&C. 


This is a space where, along with other parents, you can contribute to the wellbeing of your own children and the entire school community. 


Jeremiah 29:7 says that God intends for His children to seek the peace and prosperity, the wellbeing, of the city where He has sent them. I can’t think of a more important city to influence than your children’s place of learning.


If you’re in NSW, you can also sign this petition to show your support for Mark Latham MLC’s Parental Rights Bill. This bill seeks to stop activists from pushing ideological teaching in NSW schools. We hope, in time, legislation like this will be passed in all states and territories.


Most of all, please pray for your child’s school – or those in your community – and for the leaders in our government who make decisions about curriculum and educational issues. Pray that our children’s innocence will be protected and that they will be taught truth.
