Australian Christian Lobby Victorian Director Dan Flynn is calling on Victorians to make contact with their Lower and Upper House parliamentarians as parliament prepares to debate a bill aimed at stopping post 24 week abortions.

The call for action also has come from the Democratic Labour Party MP Rachel Carling-Jenkins, who introduced the bill last week.

Mr Flynn said the bill is slated for debate in May and it was crucial for people to let politicians know their views before it is debated by way of email, phone calls, letters and by meeting with their local members.

Already 42,000 signatures in support of the bill have been collected but it is important that this is followed up with direct contact with parliamentarians.
