Scientists who have carried out the world’s largest study involving twins, both identical and fraternal, have found that homosexuality is the result of random environmental factors and genetics. "This study puts cold water on any concerns that we are looking for a single ‘gay gene’ or a single environmental variable which could be used to ‘select out’ homosexuality". In a store one Saturday morning early in 2006, I became aware of a bank of television screens tuned to a music video showing a rap singer engaged in simulated sex with several barely clad dancers. A 2005 study showed that at least 50 per cent of patients killed under the Dutch euthanasia program were suffering from depression.
