After what I am sure is godly intervention, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Michelle Pearse as the new CEO of ACL. She is currently in London, pastoring a church with her husband and will take up the appointment in early June.
Michelle comes with an impressive track record in strategically working in and lobbying into parliaments, and most recently, together with her husband and three children, they have built an influential church in the heart of London for the past five years – showing their great commitment to the Gospel.
She has previously worked for ACL as the WA State Director & National Spokesperson on Women’s and Children’s Issues and I have seen firsthand her passion for the intersection of politics and the Gospel and her incredible effectiveness for us as a media spokesperson and lobbyist. More than that though, she has a sincere heart for Christ and proven leadership in both the church and ACL.
To give you the opportunity to get to know Michelle better, I interviewed her in Sydney after her selection for the role. I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch it and get to know Michelle and her initial thoughts on the future of ACL and her leadership of it.
