Phew! A good news story – and don’t we need them!
On Sunday 5th August, Bella magazine
will be launched in Launceston, Tasmania.
Bella (meaning: beautiful girl) is specifically aimed at young Australian women (13 to 19 year olds) providing an alternative to the sexed-up modern day magazines. It is published quarterly.
Bella encourages young women to be who they are – not what mainstream media wants them to be. Bella is a non-profit magazine that will be a catalyst for a cultural revolution, to reverse the tide of self-damaging attitudes and trends imposed upon our young women.
The Tasmanian launch is an initiative of Michael Ferguson MP, his daughter Eloise, and local bookshop Birchalls who have teamed up to make sure that Bella Magazine is readily available to all Tasmanian girls.
Wouldn’t it be great to have all newsagents/bookstores with it on their racks! Why not ask your local store to stock it.
