The Catholic owned hospital has been a strong advocate for the sanctity of human life by conscientiously objecting to the provision of elective abortions and opposing the introduction of assisted suicide into the ACT.
This mandatory acquisition is a clear attack on religious institutions in the nation’s capital.

The Labor-Greens ACT Government’s unilateral action has been taken without consultation and it has serious consequences for the 1,500 staff and services they provide. The ACT health system is already in crisis; if the Government can’t run one Canberra hospital well, how can it possibly run two?
