Paul Russell is the director of HOPE, an organisation which aims to prevents euthanasia and assisted suicide.
They recently held their international symposium in Adelaide, featuring expert speakers from a range of backgrounds, including many who have lost their own loved ones to euthanasia.
The experience in the Netherlands and Belgium, where euthanasia is legal, is clear: euthanasia is common and wide reaching, and it cannot be made safe.
