Supporter Relations Officer [Canberra]

The Australian Christian Lobby is looking for a new Supporter Relations Officer (SRO) for our Canberra office.  Our SRO will assist our dynamic Administration Team in all areas of supporter care, including: 

  • Supporter information maintenance
  • Processing various payment types and provision of receipts for donors
  • Data entry and other routine database functions
  • Other general administrative duties as required

Knowledge, Experience and Attributes

  • Demonstrated capacity to perform the SRO responsibilities.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Highly developed personal skills including pleasant interpersonal manner.
  • Discretion and the ability to manage confidentiality.
  • Understanding of the Australian Political system is preferred but not essential.
  • Competence across the MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with databases would be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • Willingness to attend courses to develop expertise in ACL’s primary supporter management database.

  • Ability to continually evaluate and improve services delivered
  • Ability to work as part of a team and solve problems
  • Display in both private and professional life a personal worldview that will allow proper representation of ACL and its purpose

Event Manager [Canberra]

Are you ready to lead and deliver our extensive event schedule throughout the whole of Australia? Our event program includes: Conferences, Training Courses, Fundraising Dinners, Speaking Tours and Staff Retreats.

Although you’ll be in Canberra, working alongside our incredible team in our National Office, you will travel interstate to deliver the best event[s] possible.

Are you?

• Confident, with incredible organisational skills? Are you detail-orientated?
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously? Have the ability to work within a team environment to meet strict deadlines and undertake a range of support functions?
• Creative? Can you solve event related issues, with flexibility and able to overcome changes and challenges??
• A rock-star communicator? Have you got well-developed written and verbal communication skills? It’d be great if you’re awesome on the phone! 
• Able to work alone, independently with minimal supervision; yet are passionate to learn and master all aspects of event management?
• Qualified in Business Administration and, or Events Management? 
• Able to master social media and digital marketing. If you don’t, we’re sure we can teach you.
