Radical Gender Theory a concern in Longman By-Election

Parents’ rights to raise and educate their children again proved to be of concern as voters meet their candidates in Longman last night said Australian Christian Lobby

The forum was attended by many from the community who were given the opportunity to ask questions of candidates John Reece (Australian Peoples Party), Trevor Ruthenberg (Liberal National Party), Lloyd Russell (Liberal Democrat), Matthew Stephen (One Nation), and Blair Verrier (Australian Country Party).  

Election issues raised included; concerns about employment, the economy, environment, religious freedoms and education. One concerned parent who asked, about parents’ rights to teach their children a traditional and biological understanding of gender. 

“It was pleasing to hear that all the candidates present were in favour of maintaining parents’ rights to educate their children on gender as they see fit. 

Labor candidate Susan Lamb was absent from the evening, declining her invitation. 

 Labor’s draft national platform, to be voted on in December at the national conference, indicates that it may become illegal for parents to teach their children a biological understanding of gender.” Wendy Francis commented.  

“It was unfortunate that Susan Lamb was unable to attend the community forum as we know may in the community are concerned about the rainbow policies being promoted,” ACL Queensland director Wendy Francis commented.
