Urgent Action Needed: Remove “Gender Identity” from Conversion Practices Ban Bill 2024

The NSW Conversion Practices Ban Bill 2024 supports harmful gender-transition treatments, erosion of fundamental freedoms, and stifling of religious expression. The Bill’s bias towards affirming gender-transition pathways and ambiguous language threatens freedom of speech, religion, and parental rights. Join us in advocating for the removal of “gender identity” from the Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill.

Taking action today is imperative to stop the ensuring of Gender Identity in the NSW “conversion” laws.

  1. The UK National Health Service (NHS) has banned the general use of puberty blockers for those under 18 due to the comprehensive independent Cass Review.
  2. Investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger leaked WPATH files exposing conversations between surgeons, therapists, and activists regarding transgender treatments and surgeries. The files have revealed that, amongst other things, clinicians were aware of the carcinogenic nature of testosterone – including conversations about patients who appear to have passed away as a direct result of the hormone treatment.
  3. A British Medical Journal (BMJ) study uncovers that medical gender transition does not correlate with a reduction in suicide rates. The finding suggests that the causes of suicide in this demographic are linked to psychiatric co-morbidities.
  4. Australian research indicates that those identifying as ‘gender diverse’ have faced significantly elevated levels of child maltreatment, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and exposure to domestic violence.
