The NSW state election is scheduled for March 28, with incumbent Premier Mike Baird being challenged by the new Opposition Leader Luke Foley.

In 2011, Barry O'Farrell led the Coalition to a huge victory, winning 69 seats in the 93-seat Assembly, ending 16 years of Labor government. Since then the Coalition has been through a turbulent few years, including the resignation of Mr O'Farrell, replaced by current Premier Mike Baird.
