This coming Monday, Theology on Tap will discuss the issue of same-sex marriage in Sydney. Patrick Langrell, who founded Theology on Tap, will chat with those about the recent and ongoing debate surrounding the push to legalise same-sex marriage:
What is marriage?
Doesn't equality require recognizing all loving relationships?
Isn't this traditional view of marriage bigoted, intolerant, and outdated?
Can the traditional view be argued for, and defended against objections, without relying on the Bible or the Pope?
How would same-sex marriage hurt anyone else's marriage?
What are the strongest rational objections to alternative views of marriage?
Why should the state be involved in marriage at all?
How do I talk to my friends and coworkers about marriage?
How can I help cultivate a healthy marriage culture?
Patrick Langrell is the Research Assistant to Bishop Anthony Fisher OP. He graduated from The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) in 2009 with a Degree in Philosophy.
