The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) will continue to pray for Daniel Andrews, Victoria’s re-elected Premier.

The Australian Christian Lobby has labelled Victorian Liberal Leader Matthew Guy’s extraordinary attack on Dr. Renee Heath’s church affiliation as hypocrisy and called on him to withdraw his proposed expulsion of Dr. Heath from the Liberal party room, post-election.

State-wide polling has shown three quarters of Tasmanian voters reject the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute (TLRI) “Anti-Parents’ Rights” proposal being considered by the Tasmanian government.

Commenting on Bernie Finn’s expulsion from the Victorian Liberal Party today, the Australian Christian Lobby’s (ACL) National Director, Wendy Francis, said,

Every Liberal who voted against faith-based schools and failed to support the Religious Discrimination Bill appears to have lost their seat, except one, which hangs in the balance.

The success of campaigns by the teal independents and the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) show that the Liberals cannot win on the left, ACL has said following tonight’s election results.

The Australian Christian Lobby has today criticised the Victorian Liberal Party for running scared on basic liberal values. It comes as the party mulls avoiding a vote on the Andrews’ government’s ‘change and suppression’ bill which undermines free speech and parents’ rights in unprecedented ways.

The abortion-to-birth bill was introduced into the Upper House by Minister Lensink on Wednesday 14 October. This Liberal government supported bill is seeking to legislate for abortion to birth. We must oppose it! Nothing is more important.

The Australian Christian Lobby welcomes this week’s Queensland LNP announcement that, if elected, they will review the state's recently changed abortion laws. A LNP spokesperson flagged that provisions on abortion coercion, gestational limits and counselling requirements were the main targets for a review.
