Block porn: Free up the internet for essential services and community

Close brothels: government COVID-19 restriction must be consistent

The Australian Christian Lobby has today called for the government to make a clear statement that brothel activity must be completely shut down. Last night the government issued an unprecedented mandatory closure of pubs, clubs, churches, indoor sporting venues, nightclubs, casinos, gyms and theatres to limit the COVID-19 crisis.

Shocking sex slavery in Victoria

The Australian Christian Lobby has long asserted that legalising brothels will open the doors for sex traffickers. The best way to prevent trafficking is adopting the pro-women Nordic model of prostitution law reform.

By contrast, a decriminalised regime in Victoria leads to oppression of women as demonstrated by fresh revelations of sex slavery based on the AFP investigations. The ACL is horrified that women are being held as prisoners in brothels.
