Elizabeth Handsley on the Political Spot about timezone restrictions on TV

Posted on Blog · September 17, 2013 10:00 AM
Elizabeth Handsley is a Professor of Law at Flinders University and also the President of the Australian Council on Children and the Media. In this interview with the ACL's Katherine Spackman she talks about Free TV Australia's submission to ACMA to remove time-zone restrictions on channel nine, seven and ten. She says removing time-zone restrictions - which currently mean an 8.30pm start for M-rated shows - would mean a lot more responsibility of parents and many are not willing or able to provide this supervision.
