Thousands march against Jackie Trad’s radical abortion bill

Thousands of pro-life supporters turned out this afternoon for the March for Life through Brisbane CBD, in opposition to Jackie Trad’s radical abortion bill.

It shows that Queenslanders are against the bill which will allow abortion on demand up until full term, while providing no safeguards for women who are coerced into having an abortion, and also forces doctors who conscientiously object to refer patients to a doctor who will provide an abortion, said the Australian Christian Lobby.

“It is encouraging to see so many people willing to be involved in the march and publicly express their belief in the inherent dignity of all life,” said Wendy Francis, ACL’s state director.

“Senator Amanda Stoker and Senator Matt Canavan also joined the march and addressed the crowd at Parliament House.”

“The march sends a strong message to Jackie Trad and the Labor government that Queenslanders don’t want this radical abortion bill to become law.”

“A recent YouGov Galaxy poll revealed that 39% of people would change their vote if their local MP voted in favour of the abortion bill. Members would be wise to take that into consideration,” commented Mrs Francis.
