What does the overturning of Roe vs Wade mean for Australia?

The overturning of the Roe vs Wade ruling by the US Supreme Court has reignited public debate on abortion in Western Australia. This has led the McGowan Labor Government to announce that they plan to ‘modernise’ WA’s ‘out of date’ abortion legislation.

With so much hysteria and misinformation circulating about the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision, our WA State Director Peter Abetz hosted a Roe vs Wade and WA’s Abortion Law webinar to equip WA supporters to take an active and informed role in the public debate that is developing, as the Labor Government moves to ‘liberalise’ WA’s abortion laws.

While this information was presented with West Australians in mind, it has a lot of value to all Australians in helping to explain the new US Supreme Court ruling and how it might influence Australia, more generally.
