ACL’s Queensland Director, Rob Norman said in a recent media release. “Queensland’s housing affordability, and cost of living crisis, together with decriminalising the sex industry sets up the perfect storm for youth exploitation and crime to explode in Queensland.”

Decriminalising prostitution will have dire consequences that could fuel an epidemic of youth exploitation and crime.  Under new legislation introduced to the Queensland Parliament, by the Miles Labor Government, prostitution will be afforded all the rights of any regular employment.  This will mean pimps and those profiteering from the sex industry will have access to youth careers nights and will operate with impunity.
