Tasmania Legislative Council Elections – Huon & Rosevears

On 1 August the divisions of Rosevears and Huon will each elect one member for the Legislative Council. These members will hold their seats until 2026.

This is an important election, as it will affect the direction of the Legislative Council for many years to come.

ACL sent out a survey to all candidates. Many have replied, while some chose not to.

We have collated the answers in a website Tasmania Legislative Council Elections so you may understand candidates’ views on issues which may be key to Christian voters.

Please study the answers. Please be much in prayer for the election. We face the dark spectre of assisted suicide legislation and must use our votes carefully. So read, pray, vote and pray again… the effective fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16).
