Double standards exposed in the NT government

The Northern Territory government’s proposed changes to the Anti-Discrimination Act will discriminate against people of faith in the NT. The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) NT Political Director, Christopher Brohier said, “The Bill effectively spells the end of true Christian schooling in the Territory.”

“This is a direct attack on religious freedom. It removes protections for religious schools, introduces ‘offense’ based laws that can be used to suppress religious expression, and free speech, and introduces new positive duties that will trample religious liberty.”

“This Bill fundamentally undermines parental rights and religious freedom and should be rejected.”

The ACL calls on all NT parliamentarians of conscience to truly represent all Territorians, including those of faith, and reject the Bill.
