With the UK the latest country to ban biological males from female wards in hospitals and return to sex-specific language such as ‘breast feeding’, in the interests of common sense and patient safety, it’s time for Australia to follow suit.
Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) National Director of Politics, Wendy Francis, said today, “This burst of sanity in the UK is refreshing. Australia must follow suit. There is no excuse or reason why biological males should be in female only wards in hospitals and, indeed, in all female only spaces.”
Francis said, “If they are serious about female health and safety, the Federal and State Health Ministers should act quickly to establish the same protocol in Australia”.
The ACL calls on all Governments to act to protect women’s health in this critical way.
