Parental concern must be heard

The Australian Christian Lobby welcomes the desire of the new South Australian Labor leader, Peter Malinauskas, to listen to South Australians.

ACL SA director Christopher Brohier said he was hopeful the Labor Party would listen to parental concerns around controversial Safe Schools-type gender theory programs which it mandated while in Government.

“It is clear that within the electorate there is little appetite for the extreme gender theory that had been promoted by the Labor Government.” Mr Brohier said.

“South Australian parents will be looking for the Labor Party to support the commitment made by the incoming Liberal Government to wind back the controversial gender theory inspired Shine SA Safe Schools program from schools.

“Gender theory is scientifically flawed and exposes young lives to great harm if believed and implemented.

“Therefore, Labor should reconsider and abandon its current support for this radical and flawed ideology.
