Children’s safety compromised at Victorian State School

Furious parents are demanding the Victorian State Government step in to protect their children who attend Clifton Springs Primary School following the replacement of their toilets with gender-neutral facilities used by all children.

Commenting on the controversial move, Jasmine Yuen, Victorian State Director of the Australian Christian Lobby said, “Schools are meant to be safe and enjoyable for children, but parents at Clifton Springs Primary School describe their young children as no longer comfortable to attend school.

“This school has prioritised a woke gender theory agenda over the safety of their students. A safe environment is essential to foster the love of learning for children, enabling them to achieve their best future. A school that fails to help children feel safe or comfortable in the most basic way, using the bathroom facilities, fails them completely and violates their basic human rights. This is an utter disgrace!”

“Every Victorian parent has reason for concern regarding the erosion of their parental rights under the current education system, and hold the Government and the Education Department to account.

“It has been great to see the Federal Shadow Minister for Education, Sarah Henderson, publicly defend the parents’ right to be concerned, joining their call to reinstate gender specific facilities.”

The ACL urges the Allan Government and in particular, the Minister for Education, Ben Carroll, to review current school policies and place the safety of all children as their top priority.
